Gabby Douglas is one of the most impressive people I have ever read about. Her Olympic sweep of all of those gold medals was historic, but her triumph over the ugliness that haunted her personal life is what truly makes her a champion, as I see it.
This is probably not the platform for me to elaborate on her life, but she inspired me enough to dedicate a pointillistic portrait in her honor.
Pointillism is working with dots. This entire portrait was done in dots with ink pens (that kept going empty on me). You can zoom in on it yourself. You won’t find a single hard line.
